400g chickpeas (tin or cooked)

160g sweetcorn (tin or cooked)

1 carrot, shredded

1 little onion

1 clove of garlic, minced

1 tsp oats

1 tbsp flaxseed

1 tbsp red pepper (hot)

Jalapeno pepper or chili powder

Salt and pepper to taste


• Crush the chickpeas in a bowl and mix well with the other ingredients. If needed, add 1 tbsp of flour

• Form burger size pieces

• Brush the burgers with little sunflower seed oil and place on the barbecue or in a non stick pan. Cook on each side until crisp

• Serve the burgers with salad or protein buns, topped tomato and mustard
