Nottingham. PM-International AG inaugurated its new subsidiary for the UK in Nottingham with a festive ribbon cutting ceremony last night. Founded in 1993, the company develops and distributes high-quality products for health, fitness and beauty through its own FitLine® brand.
The new subsidiary is responsible for the administration and logistics in United Kingdom, supporting the company’s further growth in this market. PM-International invested in more than 3,000 ft2 housing its new UK offices, meeting facilities, and a new warehouse.
With regards to the current situation, the ribbon cutting was held as an intimate event. Lutz Bläcker, Chief Sales Officer: “After starting operations in the UK already in January, we are glad that we can finally celebrate the opening of our subsidiary here in Nottingham. Our distribution partners have done an outstanding job over the past months, using our digital working solutions to build up business remotely and despite all challenges. More and more people in the UK are working in direct sales to create additional income. The industry grew by 45% in 2020, generating £822 million in retail sales. Lutz Bläcker is convinced of the potential for PM-International in the UK: “Wellness and cosmetics products make 80% of the retail sales in UK direct sales. We already see a big interest for our products and business opportunity, particularly thanks to our highly motivated local distribution partners and corporate team.”
After preparing the operations the UK market in 2020, PM-International has registered around 150% increase in sales in this market in the last 12 months alone. A rapid development which now resulted in the opening of PM-International UK.
