For PM-International, success is always shared. “We are among the biggest global players in our industry. That means we are in the position to make the world a little better, day by day,” said Rolf Sorg. The family-owned and operated business supports children around the globe for almost 20 years with its PM We Care Foundation. At the World Management Congress, Charity Ambassador Vicki Sorg announced that the company will take on 200 additional sponsored children in Mali this year, due to the extraordinary success and commitment of their distribution partners. “The more we grow, the more social responsibility we can take on,” Vicki Sorg announced proudly, “because every single product contributes to our charity efforts giving children ‘An Hour of Life’.” With now 4,200 sponsored children total, among others in India, Peru, Cambodia and Zimbabwe, PM-International is the largest corporate sponsor of the aid, development and advocacy organization World Vision. In a very emotional moment, Vicki Sorg shared the stage with one PM-International’s former sponsored children, Nanda from Mongolia. “I met Nanda years ago at one of my visits to our sponsored children and she told me about her dream to go to a big city and study there. Seeing her today, all grown up and already in her third year of studying to become an engineer is breathtaking. It really shows what impact our work has, and I am incredibly grateful to our distribution partners and World Vision for making this happen.”
